Privacy policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and what we deliberately do not.

This is a starting template, not legal advice

It is written to be readable and honest about how the platform works, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and it is not tailored to any jurisdiction. Have a qualified professional review and adapt it before you launch.

What we collect

  • Account details - your name, email and, if you add one, a photo, bio, country and language.
  • Purchases - what you bought, when, and the amount, so you can reach your products and we can support you.
  • Activity on the platform - course progress, saved products and recently viewed items.
  • Usage analytics - page views, searches and product views, in aggregate.

What we do not collect

We never see or store your card details. Payments are handled entirely by the payment provider on their own systems. We do not sell personal data, and we do not send your email address to advertising networks.

Our analytics are limited to ids, types and counts - what was viewed, searched or bought. We do not attach free-text you typed into forms, and we do not build profiles for advertising.

Why we hold it

To give you access to what you bought, to save your progress, to support you when something goes wrong, to pay creators correctly, and to understand which parts of the catalogue people find useful.

Who can see what

Your email address is visible only to you and to platform administrators. Creators see aggregate sales figures, not the identities of individual buyers. Reviews show the name on your profile - so use a display name you are happy to be public.

Your choices

  • Edit or correct your profile at any time from your profile.
  • Ask for a copy of your data, or for your account to be deleted, by emailing hello@tomiguide.com.
  • Deleting your account removes your profile and activity; order records are kept where required for tax and accounting.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in, to remember your cart before you check out, and to remember recent searches. These are functional rather than advertising cookies.
